Zhaoyen Beh

Zhaoyen serves as an Assistant Research Fellow at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), where she is primarily responsible for the civil society connectivity program. Holding a master's degree in Social Research and Cultural Studies from National Chiao Tung University, her research interests varies across Southeast Asian studies, media communication, and postcolonial studies, with a particular emphasis on media freedom and expression in Malaysia.

Before joining TAEF, Zhaoyen gained a strong foundation in interdisciplinary research through her roles at the Center for Resilience Research and the Internet of Sense and Network Research Center at National Tsing Hua University, as well as the Center for Media and Social Impact at National Central University. Zhaoyen is committed to leveraging her expertise to create a meaningful social impact.
