TAEF

Abbey Huang holds a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at National Chengchi University (NCCU). She currently serves as an Assistant Research Fellow at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), while also serving as Secretary to the Chairman and Executive Director. Her primary responsibilities include media relations and public communications, drafting press releases in both Chinese and English and providing administrative and coordination support to the Chairman and Executive Director. Prior to joining TAEF, Huang participated in several research projects funded by Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). She served as a project assistant for Professor Alan H. Yang’s research project, “Think Tank Diplomacy under the Tsai Ing-wen Administration and Its Role in Informal Diplomacy: A Comparative Analysis of Taiwan and International Experiences and Future Prospects,” and as a research assistant for Professor Jaw-Nian Huang’s project, “The Transnational Diffusion of Internet Norms under the Influence of China’s Digital Authoritarianism.” She also served as a project assistant at the Institute of International Relations, NCCU. Huang previously served as a Secretariat Officer at the Taiwan Association for Southeast Asian Studies (TASEAS), where she was involved in administrative affairs, academic exchanges, and conference organization. She also participated in organizing the 27th Annual Conference on Southeast Asian Studies in Taiwan in 2025 in collaboration with the Department of Political Science at Tunghai University. Her professional experience spans research project implementation, international and academic exchanges, media and public relations, and the organization of major academic and international events.
