2025 Human Rights In Asia: A Multigenerational Dialogue open for registration

June 27th, 2025

In an era overwhelmed by information, intensified digital surveillance, and the resurgence of authoritarianism, our anxiety and uncertainty about the future are only growing. Human rights protection is facing unprecedented challenges. 💪

This year’s forum, themed “Understanding the Current State of Human Rights in the Changing World Order,” will explore how the current global upheaval—marked by authoritarian expansion, disinformation, increasing surveillance, and weakening of international institutions—is reshaping the human rights landscape. In response, young people across the Asia-Pacific are taking action through grassroots movements, social networks, and transnational advocacy. They are emerging as a vital force in defending and redefining human rights in democratic societies.

This forum is a special session of the 2025 SEASAT Youth Camp, which brings together 50 youth delegates aged 18–29 from Southeast Asia, South Asia, Taiwan, and other like-minded countries. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with these dynamic young leaders!

We’ve also invited a lineup of distinguished speakers from both academia and practice to engage in a cross-generational dialogue on the trends and future of human rights in Asia:
